Regen

As she sat beside the window in a gloomy state,her throat felt dry, but she felt punny to get up and quench her thirst. Suddenly she felt a cool breeze on her face,it made her hopeful. She gazed through the window,above and hallelujah! There she saw clouds,all dark and full…The bleakness started melting from her heart and she ran inside. As she poured herself a glass of water,the musical pitter patter filled her ears. Quickly she emptied the glass and ran back. It was finally the time when she could satiate her desire of smelling the wet soil,petrichor had the smell of childhood for her. She could feel the raindrops on her hand and feel euphoric… It became the day when she felt freedom from demons of her mind. Ego,envy,pessimism and all kinds of hatred that brought agony to her core . She felt alive again,and hope knocked her senses as she enjoyed the rains……..

He was ready to move out,when he heard the sound of lightning. After weeks of devising and collecting courage to face her,he had planned to meet, but the rains destroyed his plans. There was a river to cross, and while it rains they stop all transits across it. Her pretty face came in front of his eyes,those round eyes had become red with all that crying, in fear of not being able to see him again. He could not look back in those eyes, scared that he might cry too. She hugged her tightly, for a second smile played on his face. Her touch tingled his otherwise rigid demeanour. He had not realized that this could be the last time, she is there in his rugged arms. A tear rolled down his cheek as the torrent of rain engulfed his senses……
